About Us

Hi, and thank you for stopping by our blog!

We are Tucker & Janae, a happily married husband and wife team passionate about travel and living life to its fullest!

We started our first blog after starting our nomadic lifestyle in 2019 as a way to share our tips about RVing and international travel.

Over time, that blog grew and contained content like RV living tips, boondocking guides, RV renovation ideas, and travel tips & guides for Southern Utah, Ireland, and Iceland.

After almost five years with that blog, we decided to split off the Europe content into it’s own new brand to be less confusing.

And that’s how Headed to Europe was born in 2024!

We still share all about our RV and USA travels over at Adventures with TuckNae, but it’s been a lot of fun to start this new blog just for our European adventures.

Meet Janae

Out of the two of us, Janae is more adventurous!

Her love for exploring made us want to travel and see the world, and we found out we really enjoyed it!

If you want to take a spontaneous trip, Janae’s your girl! You never know what she’s planning. 😉

She writes all the blog posts, emails, and social media updates for both of our brands, and also does Pinterest management on the side for a few clients.

She loves looking up cool places to visit and finds the hidden gems that we love to explore!

Meet Tucker

Tucker is the calm and easy-going half of our team, but he’s still always ready for an exciting adventure!

Before we got together, he had never traveled outside of North America, but now he enjoys traveling everywhere.

While Janae does the research, Tucker does all of the bookings for our rental cars, flights, and hotels.

And once we reach a new country, he usually does 99% of the driving.

His favorite adventure is a good hike, which works out well since we do a ton of hiking when we travel!

Our Story

Before we got together, Janae did a lot of overseas travel, including Iceland, England, Wales, France, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and even Nigeria.

When we got married in 2019, our first trip together to Europe was our honeymoon in Scotland!

We thoroughly enjoyed exploring for ten days, and some of the highlights of our trip were staying at Dalhousie Castle and the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.

In 2022, we took two more big trips to Europe with the first being Iceland and the second being Ireland.

We spent almost two weeks exploring South Iceland in March/April, and it was really special for me (Janae) to take Tucker back to some of my favorite places that I had already been.

Then, in the Fall, we spent another three weeks traveling all around Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It was such a special trip, and some of our favorite memories were from the Gap of Dunloe, and our bucket list stay at Ashford Castle.

We traveled around the US and the Caribbean for the next bit, and then in 2024, we went back to Iceland, and this time, we spent almost three weeks circling the entire island.

It was an incredible experience, and we got to enjoy the most brilliant Northern Lights, hundreds of puffins, and even an arctic fox sighting!

Just a few months later, Janae took a girl’s trip with some family and went back to Iceland yet again.

Noticing a pattern? Lol! We enjoy all of Europe, but we LOVE Iceland!

We also have a Scotland trip planned for October, so stay tuned for that content coming soon!
